Cork is a culturally rich yet compact city on the south coast of Ireland. The MA Irish Writing and Film at University College Cork provides students with an authoritative introduction to key Irish texts from the eighteenth century to the present. Students engage with some of the most influential critical and theoretical models currently being applied to Irish literature and film, and receive expert guidance in developing independent research projects. Every year, one successful Fulbright candidate takes up a place on the programme. In the Fulbright reflections soon to follow this post, former successful candidates discuss how to create a successful Fulbright application and describe their experiences of attending the MA Irish Writing and Film at University College Cork.
