It’s almost September and time to say “Fáilte” to all our students arriving at UCC from home and abroad. It’s a time to think about what you want to get out of the forthcoming year in UCC and how to make the best of it. We have some tips for you.
- UCC’s Fáilte Fest is a comprehensive series of events and workshops starting in September to welcome students to UCC and help with integration. Find out what’s going on before arriving, make a wishlist and take part!
- Keep healthy at UCC in 2013/2014. The Mardyke Arena is a great place to start and if you are seeking clubs such as soccer, rugby, martial arts and much more, go along to our clubs day where you can discover what your new fitness training will be. There are over 60 clubs to choose from, so we think you’ll find something exciting!
- Discover Cork City. A great way to feel settled in your new surroundings is to get to know them! Try Cork City walks to familiarise yourself with Cork.
- Put yourself out there and make the first move. Go along to events. Make an effort to go to events and don’t be afraid to be the first person to initiate a meeting with new friends.
