Cork, London and Aberdeen vie for award

Known affectionately to all Corkonians as ‘Pana’, Cork’s St. Patrick Street will face off this week against Exmouth Market in London and Union Street in Aberdeen for The Great Street Award 2010 from the Academy of Urbanism. The Academy brings together a group of thinkers and practitioners involved in the social, cultural, economic, political and physical development of villages, towns and cities, across Great Britain and Ireland. St. Patrick’s Street is Cork’s main shopping street and forms the heart of the city.
