Cork City & County – from a different angle!

Abhainn is the Irish word for river. On Monday 13 September, a fantastic programme on Cork’s own River Lee was broadcast.  You get to see some of our beautiful landscape, beginning at the source of the river at Gougane Barra, travelling right up to the city as well as learning about its history also.  It shows some fantastic scenery of both the countryside and city.

I might add it is predominantly in Irish! However it is all subtitled in English so a great way to learn a little Gaelige also!

Click HERE to view it.  It will only be available until 4 October.

P.S. Some of you may well recognise Gougane Barra (chapel above) as our visiting students on the Early Start Programmes get to visit this beautiful place.
